NEWPORT, Aug. 22. -- Tuesday will see the first of the Suffragotte meetings at Marble House. The second and last will take place on Saturday.
Philip G. Epstein (August 22, 1909 – February 7, 1952) was an American screenwriter most known for his screenplay for the film Casablanca (1942), which won an Academy Award. He had written it in partnership with his twin brother Julius and Howard Koch as an adaptation of the unproduced play Everybody Comes to Rick's, written by Murray Bennett and Joan Alison.

NAIVASHA, Sunday, July 18. -- Theodore Roosevelt and the members of his party reached Saigai-Sai earlier than they had expected. Having had signal success in the Sotik and Guaso Nyiro country they decided to come to the lake and try for hippo under the auspices of Capt. Attenborough, R.N., retired, who is the owner of the Saigai-Sai farm.

MELILLA, Aug. 10. -- There is the prospect of an early peace between the Moors and Spaniards. Every day a number of Riff chiefs enter the camp and hold a conference with Gen. Marina. So far only about 200 Riffenos have joined the ranks of the Kabyles, although messengers from the latter have been busy inciting sedition among the tribes from Fez, Larache, and Alcazar-Kebir.
