LEAD: A high court blocked the American food conglomerate Borden Inc. from placing its plastic lemon juice container in British supermarkets. Judge Raymond Walton said a plan by Borden to market Realemon in Britain was an attempt to confuse shoppers because of the container's similarity in shape and size to a popular British product, Jif, made by Reckitt & Coleman.

LEAD: The Allied Stores Corporation said it had agreed to sell its Miller & Rhoads division to an investor group led by the division's managers and by Kevin F. Donohoe, a Philadelphia real estate investor. Miller & Rhoads operates 21 stores in North Carolina and its home state of Virginia. The price was not disclosed.
