With a total volume only slightly in excess of 400,000 shares on the Stock Exchange, the market came almost to a standstill yesterday. Wall Street on the whole welcomed the lethargy as evidence that selling was drying up. Not only was business extremely dull, but fluctuations were confined to very narrow range.
